Kandlit is a tool for building puzzle books. Word search, number search, and Sudoku (and more) all in one place. Made for people selling on Amazon KDP, but works for personal or digital use too.
Free lets you build books up to 110 pages for KDP sizes, or 200 pages for A4/A5, with a small watermark on your exports. Pro removes the watermark and raises the limit to 828 pages for KDP or 1000 for A4/A5. Pro is $14.99 a month.
Right now you can create word search, number search, and Sudoku puzzles. More types may be added down the line.
No. Kandlit handles the layout, fonts, and grid design for you. You just add your words or settings and generate.
Puzzle Creation
Kandlit supports the standard KDP trim sizes: 5x8, 6x9, and 8.5x11 inches. A4 and A5 are also available if you're not printing through KDP.
PDF is what you'll want for KDP, it's print ready and keeps everything sharp, plus the fonts are all embedded. PNG and JPG export each page as an image instead, useful if you need images for the puzzles to be used in your own layout designs, such as magazines, newspapers, or other formats we don't offer. PNG comes with transparent exports, available for Pro tier subscriptions.
It's a small mark at the bottom of each page to help support the free version. Upgrading to Pro removes it completely.

List each puzzle's words in the Word List box, then put a line containing only # between groups of words to generate several puzzles at once. Words or Numbers must be at least 3 characters long, and as for the maximum length, it depends on the grid size, hover over the help icon above the the word list area to reveal a useful guide. Words or strings numbers may be dropped, in which case you will see a red warning pop-up with a sound indicating failure. As for Sudoku, just pick the difficulty, enter the number of puzzles you want to generate, and click on the Generate button.
Subscription & Billing
You can cancel anytime from Settings, under Subscription. It'll take you to the billing portal where you can manage or cancel your plan.
Refunds are handled case by case. Reach out to us and we'll take a look.
Account
Click "Forgot password" on the login screen, or go to Settings if you're already logged in. We'll send you a reset link by email.
You'll find it in Settings, under Account. There's a red Delete Account button at the bottom, just click it and follow the steps.
